You can also insure your luggage through Expat Relocation so that you receive adequate compensation in case of loss or damage.

What is the deductible of the luggage insurance?

The luggage insurance amount included in the booked insurance coverage can be increased by a maximum of 2,000 EUR. This increase shall be concluded prior to departure with the appropriate premium.
The baggage insurance replaces the value of the (on the trip acquired) personal belongings if they are lost, damaged or destroyed by:

• Criminal acts of third parties, for example, Robbery and theft
• Transportation companies, provided that the baggage was in their custody (not valid for valuables)
• Transport accident
• Fire, lightning, explosion, storm, floods, landslides, earthquakes, avalanches

The baggage insurance reimburses the costs for documented expenses for necessary replacement purchases to a maximum of 500, - EUR per claim, if the baggage is not delivered by a transport company in time (not the same day) delivered by a transport company.
